Lichfield Quaker Meeting
The Religious Society of Friends (Quakers)
were first established in Lichfield in the late 17th Century.
We meet every Sunday from 9.45 a.m. to 10.45 a.m. at Martin Heath Hall, Christchurch Lane, Lichfield. And on the First Sunday of the month from 9.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. at the Hall. Meetings are open and all are invited.
Samuel Johnson's biographer, Boswell, visited him in Lichfield in 1776, and observed that “ I have always loved the simplicity of manners of Quakers; and I observed that many a man was a Quaker without knowing it."
